SummerTeen Ensemble

The Look Up Lab’s Touring SummerTeen Ensemble is an immersive, hands-on program designed to help teen actors (ages 14-18) grow as theatrical storytellers. The program aims to provide participants with the opportunity to work alongside professional theater practitioners, engaging in a creative process that culminates in a tour of two original productions for young audiences.

Program Overview: The Look Up Lab’s Touring SummerTeen Ensemble will allow teens to deepen their acting skills, develop their individual artistic voices, and gain experience in a professional setting. Over the course of the summer, participants will:

  • Collaborate in a collective, supportive artistic community.

  • Learn and rehearse an original production that is specifically created for young audiences.

  • Experience the unique challenges of performing in a touring production, adapting to different environments and connecting with diverse audiences.

  • Develop skills in performance, ensemble work, and creative problem-solving, while also receiving mentorship from industry professionals.

  • Create fun characters(like Rosie Rhubarb and Shelley Siren) and get paid to do it! Learn what it is like to be part of a tight group of performers who take their show on the road!

  • You will learn two 30 minute shows/episodes from The Rosie Rhubarb Mystery Series (featuring the mystery of Humpty Dumpty and the crimes of the 3 Little Pigs)

Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 4th from 9am-11am at 4 Seabright Ave in Bridgeport. Come prepared to stay for 30 minutes and make big choices. Performers will read sides at the audition.
